For my Technical Illustration class, we were assigned a project in which we were to create an anthropomorphic character to use in a diecut sticker.

I decided to create a character and sticker for the 2016 BugFest. The BugFest is an annual event hosted by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. This year the event is on September 17th, and the theme bug for this year is the ant. These stickers could be used either as gifts for the attendees of the event, or given out ahead of time to advertise the upcoming event.

These are a few of the preliminary sketches.

Below is the final character that I created in Adobe Illustrator, complete with the custom die guides for the sticker.
